Billera Hall Gymnasium

Billera Hall was one of the original buildings on campus constructed in the late '60's and was given a huge addition in 1997 adding the alumni recreation courts and several athletic offices.  Today it is home to the main gymnasium (capacity 1,000) in which the men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams compete as well as houses all athletic department staff offices, the alumni recreation courts, and the Compardo Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs have enjoyed tremendous success in Billera Hall winning a combined 10 MAC Freedom Championships in the sports of men's and women's basketball and volleyball since the 1997 expansion.

In addition to hosting athletic events, Billera Hall is also host to both the Furphy and Marcon Lecture series each year as well as Winter and Spring (if raining) graduation.

From Scranton and North:  Take I-476, the NE Extension of the PA Turnpike to Rt. 22 (Lehigh Valley Exit).  Proceed east 1/8 mile on Rt. 22 to Rt. 309 south (towards Quakertown).  In a few miles, Rt. 309 joins with I-78.  Continue south on this combined I-78 and Rt. 309 until Rt. 309 branches off toward the south (about five miles, Exit 60).  Continue south on Rt. 309 another three miles.  At the intersection of Rt. 309 and Rt. 378, make a left onto Rt. 378.  Take Rt. 378 north for about ½ mile and turn right at Preston Lane.  Follow Preston Lane into campus.

From New York/New Jersey:  Take the NJ Turnpike and/or I-287 to I-78 west across NJ and into PA to Rt. 309 south (Exit 60A).  Continue south on Rt. 309 another three miles.  At the intersection of Rt. 309 and Rt. 378, make a left onto Rt. 378.  Take Rt. 378 north for about ½ mile and turn right at Preston Lane.  Follow Preston Lane into campus.

From Harrisburg and West:  Proceed east on I-78 to Rt. 309 south (Exit 60).  Continue south on Rt. 309 another three miles.  At the intersection of Rt. 309 and Rt. 378, make a left onto Rt. 378.  Take Rt. 378 north for about ½ mile and turn right at Preston Lane.  Follow Preston Lane into campus.

From Philadelphia and South:  Take I-476, the NE Extension of the PA Turnpike to Exit 44 (Quakertown exit).  Make a left onto Rt. 663 following the tollbooth and follow Rt. 663 into Quakertown.  Turn left onto Rt. 309 north and proceed eight miles to the intersection of Rt. 309 and Rt. 378.  At this intersection make a right onto Rt. 378.  Proceed north on Rt. 378 for about ½ mile and turn right onto Preston Lane.  Follow Preston Lane into campus.

Directions to DeSales University Athletic Venues

Butz Field (Baseball):  As you follow Preston Lane into campus, Butz field will be on your left side.  You can park in the Billera Hall parking lot and walk down to the field.
